Prosecutor’s Office dismisses PSOE’s complaint about a sewage spill in Río Real during the DANA

The Prosecutor’s Office in Málaga has closed the complaint filed by the Socialist Municipal Group regarding a sewage spill in Río Real caused by the DANA rains, stating that there is no evidence of environmental crime or connection with the Marbella City Council. This was announced today by the Councilor for Legal Advice, María Francisca Caracuel, who pointed out that this is the latest judicial setback for the PSOE in Marbella, which has tried to implicate the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, and others in a crime that is punishable under the Penal Code and could have serious consequences. The Public Ministry states in its decree that ‘if it concerns connections from the Ojén Town Hall to the EDAR, it is presumed that the maintenance of these connections should be the responsibility of the Ojén Town Hall itself and not that of Marbella’.
