Marbella Inaugurates Third Active Participation Center in San Pedro Alcántara for Elderly Care

Marbella has inaugurated the new Active Participation Center in San Pedro Alcántara, the third facility in the area and the tenth in the city’s network of facilities for the elderly. This new infrastructure, located in the southern area, has received an investment of close to 500,000 euros and took six months to complete. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, accompanied by the councilor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado; the deputy mayor of San Pedro, Javier García, and members of the boards of the two existing centers, emphasized the goal of expanding care capacity for the elderly in response to the increasing number of users in recent years. Currently, there are around 11,000 users throughout the city.
