Local Democracy Week Concludes with Children’s Drawing Contest Awards Ceremony
The City Council has held the awards ceremony for the children’s drawing contest today in the Plenary Hall, organized by the Citizen Participation delegation as part of the Local Democracy Week 2025. The event was attended by the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz; the councilor responsible, Enrique Rodríguez, and the thirty finalists and their families. The mayor highlighted that ‘today is a day for our children to feel part of the institution, because the town hall is also theirs’ and thanked the involvement of the participating schools (Juan Ramón Jiménez, Xarblanca, Miguel Hernández, San Pedro, and José Banús), while emphasizing ‘the municipality’s strong commitment to education that promotes values such as coexistence and critical thinking.’
