City Council to Amend Building Permit Ordinance, Increasing Exempted Works to 15,000 Euros

The City Council will begin the process to amend the ordinance governing the granting of building permits with the aim of raising the economic limit for works that can be carried out without requesting permission from 10,000 to 15,000 euros. The proposal, presented by the Urbanism Councillor, José Eduardo Díaz, accompanied by the municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, after the Local Government Board, also includes expanding the catalog of interventions that will be exempt from this administrative procedure. Díaz emphasized that ‘the intense urban activity in the municipality predicts a hopeful future for the city and obliges us to continue adapting regulations to offer more agility and closeness to citizens.’ He recalled that the City Council was a pioneer in implementing these types of measures.
