The Town Hall has confirmed that the beaches at El Cable, Río Real and Los Monteros remain open. The temporary recommendation to refrain from swimming, established by the Territorial Delegation of Health and Consumption in Malaga, only affects a specific and delimited area of the waters, which is properly marked and is preventive. The Town Hall has conveyed a message of reassurance to residents and visitors, informing that the measure was adopted after detecting an alteration in the microbiological parameter of intestinal enterococci in a water sample taken on July 20. This led the health authorities to issue this temporary recommendation and activate new sampling to assess the evolution of the water’s health quality.
