Over 700 Students Participate in Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara in World Environment Day Celebration

Marbella has celebrated World Environment Day today with an educational day aimed at second-grade students, with more than 700 students from 30 educational centers in the municipality participating. The activity, organized by the City Council, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of recycling, sustainability, and environmental care through workshops and practical activities led by specialized monitors. The councilor, Diego López, attending this initiative alongside the deputy mayor of San Pedro, Javier García, highlighted the purpose of bringing knowledge to the youngest about different ways of waste reutilization and fostering responsible habits from an early age. The councilor emphasized that ‘children learn firsthand about different trends and become transmitters of those values within their own families.’
