Mayor praises Samuel Sánchez’s sporting achievement as K1 world champion in London

Mayor Angeles Muñoz has highlighted Samuel Sánchez’s sporting projection, who became the K1 world champion in London representing his Muay Thai Marbella Club. The mayor, during a reception at the City Hall for the young local kickboxing talent, stated that ‘his triumph fills us with pride and marks the sure beginning of a successful career.’ Samuel Sánchez, the 11-year-old champion’s father and coach, explained that his son ‘had been practicing this sport for a very short time since he was previously dedicated to soccer.’ He also mentioned that ‘his path to the world title included a series of swift victories, becoming three-time champion of Andalusia in three different modalities: Muay Thai, K1, and Kickboxing in less than a month.’ ‘Subsequently, he competed in the Spanish Championship, where he brought home the champion title, granting him the direct opportunity to compete in the World Championship,’ he added.
