San Pedro Alcántara Enhances Waste Management with 70 New Trash Bins

The City Council, through the Cleaning department, has completed a project in San Pedro Alcántara aimed at modernizing urban furniture and improving the quality of public spaces by installing 70 new trash bins with a total capacity of 8,400 liters. These bins, with a volume of 120 liters compared to the previous 50-liter models, feature a hermetic design that prevents waste dispersion and odor emission, and also include an integrated ashtray for the safe disposal of cigarette butts. The upgrade has targeted high-traffic areas to meet the surrounding needs. Specifically, the Mediterranean Avenue now has 30 units; Fuente Nueva street and its surroundings have six; Ávila street in Guadalcántara has 15; Marqués del Duero Avenue has 16, and Pepe Santaella square now has three.
