Marbella Introduces Innovative Virtual Reality System for Local Police Training
The City Council has implemented a virtual reality-based training system for the Local Police with the aim of enhancing the officers’ preparation and improving their ability to respond to risky situations. This new technology makes the local headquarters the first in Andalucía to have this tool, designed to recreate complex police scenarios through immersive experiences. The councilor of the area, José Eduardo Díaz, emphasized during the presentation that this initiative is part of the modernization strategy that the City Council has been promoting for years to provide the force with the best technological and training resources. He mentioned that the goal is to have ‘the best officers, the most prepared and well-trained’, while also emphasizing that ‘the safety of the police officers themselves is a priority for the Government team’.
