New School and University Transport Service for 2026-2027 Includes 700 Seats and Real-Time Tracking App
The City Council has opened the registration period for the municipal school and university transport service for the 2026-2027 academic year, which will offer 689 seats spread across 15 routes. A new mobile app for real-time tracking will be introduced from the start of the program, allowing users to track the bus’s location, receive alerts about incidents, and report student absences. Current discounts of up to 50 percent for large families and second child users will continue to be available. Councilor Enrique Rodríguez emphasized that this municipal initiative is a solid commitment to facilitate the daily commutes of hundreds of students to their educational institutions. He highlighted the service as promoting work-life balance, providing a safe and comfortable alternative, and helping reduce traffic around schools.
