San Pedro Alcántara Celebrates Its Patron Saint with Festivities

San Pedro Alcántara has celebrated today with great enthusiasm the day of its Patron Saint, within the framework of a fair that has been gathering numerous residents and visitors since Tuesday. The Mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, participated in the Solemn Mass held at 11:00 am at the parish church, and in the traditional procession that took place afterwards through the city streets. The Mayor highlighted ‘the devotion and rootedness that this festivity represents for the people of San Pedro, as well as the involvement of citizens in each of the events held during the grand week.’ She also emphasized that ‘it has been an intense week, with a very participative and safe fair, where people are enjoying themselves immensely.’ In this regard, she stated that ‘the large turnout has been constant and the organization is working perfectly, with ample parking areas, an effective security system, and a very well-structured fairground.’
