Marbella Sends Team of Five Firefighters to Assist in Avila Firefighting Efforts
The Marbella City Council has mobilized a team of five firefighters from the Firefighting Service who have traveled to Avila to collaborate in the firefighting efforts of the forest fire affecting this province. The team left last night along with the Provincial Fire Consortium of Malaga, with whom they will act in a coordinated manner under the direction of the authorities responsible for the emergency. The deployed team has a heavy rural fire engine and a light all-terrain vehicle. The Councilor for Citizen Security, José Eduardo Díaz, has thanked the readiness shown by the municipal agents and highlighted the quick response of the corps to this type of situation. ‘From the very beginning, they were eager to receive the call to provide support in one of the most serious incidents happening in our country,’ he said.
