New Public Library in San Pedro Alcántara to be Modern and Functional

The Mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has highlighted that the new library in San Pedro Alcántara, located in the Jorge Lorenzo Tejada Park in El Arquillo, will be a modern and functional space that responds to the demands of the community and enhances the cultural and educational offerings. The library, currently under construction, is expected to be completed by the end of next year and will feature a large study area of 700 square meters, a reading area, and a walkable roof, among other services such as a book repository and an auditorium. It will combine sections for both the general public and children, all within over 1,300 square meters of versatile and flexible space. Additionally, the project is repurposing the location of the former amphitheater to create a useful, secure, and fully integrated space within its natural surroundings.
