Marbella to Honor Virgin del Carmen with Traditional Underwater Ascent
The tower at El Cable Beach will once again be the scene, this Saturday, July 11, of one of Marbella’s most rooted maritime traditions, with the underwater recovery of the image of the Virgin del Carmen, located beneath the sea in the southern part of this infrastructure. The ceremony will involve the participation of the director of the Sports Port, named after the city’s patron saint, Carlos Romero, who will join the immersion to retrieve the image alongside members of the Official Center for Underwater Research (COIS) and the city’s Yacht Club.
