Marbella to Boost Construction of One Thousand Temporary Rental Homes

Marbella will boost the construction of one thousand temporary rental homes by providing municipal land at zero cost, thanks to the new regional regulations allowing public land to be used for housing purposes. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, announced after the Local Government meeting that the first plot of land to be made available to private investors, spanning 10,000 square meters in Las Chapas, could accommodate around 280 properties with affordable rents. This initiative aims to provide accommodation for those coming to work in the city for a limited time. The mayor highlighted that this pioneering initiative aims to meet the growing housing needs of employees, relocated officials, and other groups with short to medium-term housing requirements, while also easing the pressure on the long-term rental market.
