Marbella Leads Hotel Profitability in Spain in May
Marbella continues to establish itself as the premium tourist destination on the Mediterranean coast and in the entire national market. Recent official data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) for May 2026 show a very positive trend in key tourism indicators, highlighting unprecedented profitability and strong job creation in the sector. The director general, Laura de Arce, emphasized that Marbella’s excellence, quality of offerings, and international brand positioning have led to historical levels of hotel profitability. The average room rate (ADR) rose to 267.19 euros from 234.95 euros in May 2025, and the revenue per available room (RevPAR) reached 207.12 euros, significantly higher than the 178.20 euros from the previous year.
