Marbella Enhances Selective Waste Collection Service with Eight New Vehicles
The City Council and the Association of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol have strengthened the selective collection service for paper, cardboard, and containers by introducing eight new vehicles in the municipality. Six of these vehicles are of large dimensions and two are designated for touch-up tasks. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz unveiled two of the new vehicles alongside the president of the supramunicipal institution, Manuel Cardeña, emphasizing that this initiative will optimize the service and enhance the city’s image. The mayor noted the municipality’s approximately hundred containers for selective collection and highlighted that ‘these more modern and sustainable trucks will help us provide a more effective response to situations like waste being deposited outside containers, even when they are empty or have available capacity.’
