Marbella Emerges as International Sports Events Hub After Success of Ironman 70.3 World Championship
Marbella has established itself as an international hub for hosting sports events following the success of the Ironman 70.3 World Championship, held for the first time in Spain this past weekend. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, who attended the prize-giving ceremony at La Caridad Multipurpose Venue, emphasized the sporting, economic, and media impact of the event, which attracted over 20,000 participants and spectators. The mayor expressed satisfaction with the competition and highlighted the honor of the city being chosen as the host. She noted that in the middle of November, the exceptional climate allowed for ideal sports conditions, and praised the city’s extensive hotel options and tourism infrastructure providing quality services year-round.
