Marbella celebrates the 40th anniversary of its Book Fair with a diverse program and nearly 30 invited authors

The Alameda Promenade will host the 40th edition of the Marbella Book Fair from July 18 to August 17, offering a diverse program with book presentations, children’s activities, literary meetings, and book signings. The official opening event will feature a proclamation by local journalist and writer Miguel Nieto González on Monday, July 21, at 8:00 p.m. at the Hospital Real de la Misericordia. The fair, which originated in the 1980s under the impetus of the Municipal Popular University, marks a significant anniversary this year as a space for encountering books and words, maintaining its participatory, inclusive, and approachable spirit that turns each edition into a shared celebration of culture, according to Carmen Díaz, the general director of the event.
