Marbella Approves New Regulated Parking Ordinance to Adapt Urban Mobility to Changing Needs

The Marbella City Council has initially approved the new regulated parking ordinance in today’s ordinary session, replacing the current model in place for over ten years. The ordinance aims to adapt urban mobility to new needs while maintaining one of the lowest rates in the country. Municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, stated that the regulation aims to encourage vehicle turnover, support local businesses, and includes specific measures for residents. The municipality will be divided into four districts and will introduce red and orange parking zones in addition to the existing blue and green zones. Romero explained that this document will serve as a general framework and will be further detailed with a technical and economic study, a fiscal ordinance, and finally, the concession terms.
