Marbella activates beach rescue and lifeguard service for the 2026 season
The Marbella City Council has launched the beach rescue and lifeguard service along the municipality’s coastline, starting during Easter week with coverage throughout this period, weekends, and holidays until June 1, after which the service will operate daily until September 30. The established hours will be from 12:00 to 19:00 in the low season and from 11:00 to 20:00 in the high season, uninterruptedly. The Beach Councilor, Diego López, announced during the presentation of the operation that ‘the investment has been increased to expand both hours and coverage of the service,’ while detailing that infrastructure and resources have been improved to continue offering effective and visible assistance to users. The councilor emphasized the importance of following the staff’s instructions and individual responsibility as a key element in ensuring safety in the use of the coastline.
