Municipality Increases Subsidies to Support Sports Clubs and Athletes in 2026
The municipality will allocate a total of 670,000 euros this year to sports grants, including competitive grants aimed at clubs and individual athletes from Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara, as well as nominative aids. The councilor, Lisandro Vieytes, has announced the approved calls by the Local Government Board and highlighted ‘the direct financial support provided to both entities and competitors in the city to facilitate the development of their activities and their participation in various competitions.’ The two lines corresponding to Marbella, whose application period started on August 24 after being published in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP), increase their amounts this year to reach a total of 397,000 euros, with 267,000 euros for clubs and 130,000 euros for individual athletes or pairs.
