Local Government Supports Neighborhood Association Las Albarizas in Talk Against Gender Violence
The Councilman for Citizen Participation, Enrique Rodríguez, attended a talk against gender violence organized by the Neighborhood Association Las Albarizas, titled ‘gender violence a public health problem, learning to recognize it’, given by lawyer Encarnación Moreno. The councilman highlighted the trajectory of this collective, which has been carrying out this initiative for over 18 years in various formats, addressing violence from different perspectives; from the health field, but also from the role of social workers. This time they provided legal advice with a professional from the legal world who explained how complaints work, how to react, and how to address doubts. The meeting took place at the Este district headquarters and was also attended by the councilors for Equality, Isabel Cintado, and Youth and Health, Alejandro González.
