Local Government Repairs Sinkholes in Las Palmeras Promenade to Ensure Safety
The San Pedro Alcántara City Council is carrying out repairs on several sinkholes in Las Palmeras Passage, a commercial pedestrian walkway that connects to Marqués del Duero Avenue. The repair works were undertaken as a last resort due to the failure of the company responsible for the collapse to take action within the required legal deadlines. In March, a significant pavement collapse occurred when a heavy crane carrying medical equipment passed through, causing three large trenches in a particularly sensitive area with two underground parking levels.
