Gerardo Rodríguez Salas Wins the 3rd Edition of the ‘Marpoética’ International Poetry Award with ‘Oxford Circus’
Granada writer Gerardo Rodríguez Salas has won the third edition of the ‘Marpoética’ International Poetry Award with his work ‘Oxford Circus’, organized by the City Council and endowed with 26,000 euros, one of the most financially rewarding awards in the Spanish-speaking world. The poetry collection emerged victorious after the verdict issued by the jury chaired by poet Antonio Colinas, and composed of prominent figures in the literary scene such as Olvido García Valdés, Julieta Valero, Antonio Lucas, Javier Vicedo, and Marbella’s Director General of Culture, Carmen Díaz, on behalf of the City Council. Also present, as an observer, was editor Jesús Sánchez.
