The City Council has granted nearly 800,000 euros in subsidies to associations and foundations that are developing projects for social, healthcare, and educational attention in the city. The municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, has explained that the decrees and justifications for the grants were discussed in the Local Government Board, ‘which are part of the City’s commitment to the local associative fabric and support for the most vulnerable groups.’ The councilor has stated that the funds will be used to cover operating expenses and specific programs of entities ‘that provide essential services in the areas of inclusion, mental health, disability, assistance to the elderly, and support for individuals at risk of exclusion.’
