City Council Designates Specific Areas on the Coast for San Juan Bonfires and Sets Safety, Cleanliness, and Coexistence Measures

The City Council has issued a Municipal Decree that regulates the conditions of use of beaches for the celebration of San Juan’s Eve on June 23. The goal is to ensure public safety, protect the coastal environment, maintain cleanliness in public spaces, and promote proper coexistence during one of the busiest days of the year. In an exceptional move, the Council will authorize private individuals to have bonfires in specific coastal areas. The designated spaces include San Pedro Alcántara Beach, Nueva Andalucía Beach near the moraga area, El Cable and El Pinillo Beaches from the east wall of the La Bajadilla Port to Río Real, and Alicate and Real de Zaragoza Beaches at designated points near Plaza Los Tamarindos, Las Chapas Urbanization, Siroco Beach Bar, and the moraga area of Las Chapas.
