Ana Cerván to be Recognized as ‘Marbellera de Honor’ on San Bernabé Day
Dr. Ana Cerván de la Haba will be honored on June 11th as a ‘Marbellera de Honor’ in the traditional ceremony held at the Cruz del Humilladero, organized by the Asociación de Vecinos Huerto Porral. The municipal general director, Baldomero León, announced the distinction today, along with the collective’s president, Cristóbal Mesa, stating that the award will be presented after the civic-religious procession that commemorates the city’s incorporation into the Crown of Castile on June 11, 1485. ‘We are a week away from the Patron Saint’s day, San Bernabé, and this is one of the most emotional moments of the celebration because it recognizes individuals who have stood out for their contribution to the locality,’ he noted.
