City Council conducts earthquake and tsunami drill at El Faro beach to test emergency services response
The City Council conducted a drill this morning to simulate the response to a hypothetical earthquake with a tsunami risk at El Faro beach, involving 40 personnel from the Local Police, National Police, Firefighters, Civil Protection, lifeguard services, and Maritime Rescue. The exercise tested the response capacity and coordination of the various emergency services, as well as examined the procedures, evacuation routes, and resources outlined in municipal plans.
