Marbella Removes Seven Medium Voltage Towers in Golden Beach Area to Enhance Safety and Create New Public Spaces

Marbella is removing seven medium voltage towers in the Golden Beach area to improve safety and free up new public spaces. The project, which has involved an investment of 200,000 euros, has allowed for the removal of around 100 meters of overhead lines in the surroundings of the Real de Zaragoza river trail and the expansion of the area next to the playground. Councillor José Eduardo Díaz has highlighted the progress in burying various lines in the municipality. He emphasized that since the beginning of the term, it was established as a priority to ‘recover and collaborate closely with the supplying company in removing as many installations as possible from our city,’ an initiative aimed at correcting a situation inherited from the urban development of previous decades.
