San Pedro Alcántara’s Istán Square Parking Lot to be Restored by the City Council
The City Council will restore the parking lot of Istán Square in San Pedro Alcántara with an extraordinary budget of one million euros, making the facility 100% municipal and under direct management. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz announced this initiative today after the Local Government Board meeting, stating that this action will add a facility with 275 parking spaces to the public heritage. The financial allocation will be included in a budget modification to be approved in an extraordinary session this month, thanks to increased revenues from the State Revenue Sharing system. Muñoz emphasized the importance of preventing the parking lot from falling into private hands and ensuring its return to public ownership as part of the city’s municipal heritage.
