Best Spots in Marbella to Watch Solar Eclipse

The City Council recommends Cabopino and El Cable beaches, as well as the stretch of the promenade between Puerto Banús and San Pedro Alcántara, as some of the best points in Marbella to observe tomorrow’s solar eclipse on Wednesday, August 12. These locations offer open spaces and a good westward orientation. During the event, the Moon will obscure approximately 94 percent of the solar disk. The eclipse will begin in the municipality around 7:43 p.m. and reach its peak between 8:38 p.m. and 8:39 p.m. when the Sun will be just over six degrees above the horizon. Although Marbella is outside the totality path that will cross northern Spain, the high percentage of obscuration will allow for a noticeable decrease in ambient brightness.
