Marbella City Council to Offer Nearly 4,000 Spots in Municipal Sports Activities Program for 2026-2027 Season
The Marbella City Council will launch the municipal sports activities program for the 2026-2027 season starting next September with an offering of 3,967 spots. This represents an increase of 345 spots from the previous year and a growth of over 1,500 spots since the beginning of the term, equivalent to a 60% increase. The councilor in charge, Lisandro Vieytes, along with delegation technician Marina Moreno, presented the new edition today, which includes 45 sports disciplines for children, youth, adults, and seniors. The councilor emphasized that affordable public prices will be maintained and highlighted the council’s goal of expanding access to sports for more residents with a wider and more adapted offering. The new season will begin in September with activities for adults, seniors, and minors, and will continue in October at the educational centers Sierra Blanca, Río Verde, and Bahía Marbella, whose management teams are once again collaborating by providing their facilities for the program.
