Municipality Completes Maintenance Work on Underground Waste Containers in Marbella
The Marbella City Council, through the Cleaning Department, has carried out nearly a thousand maintenance operations on the underground waste containers in the municipality since the service was launched in 2025. This work ensures the proper functioning and preservation of these facilities used daily by citizens. The councilor in charge, Diego López, stated that the operations target a network of 634 installations spread throughout the city, catering to different types of waste: 308 for organic, 111 for packaging, 105 for glass, and 110 for paper and cardboard. The maintenance activities aim to keep both the visible elements of the underground containers and the internal systems in optimal condition. They involve preventive inspections, repairs, adjustments to mechanical components, lubrication, cable and pulley adjustments, as well as modifications to pedestrian platforms and safety platforms.
