Marbella Shows Solidarity with Venezuela Earthquake Victims
The City Council of Marbella held a minute of silence today in front of the Town Hall as a show of support for the victims of the earthquake in Venezuela. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz expressed the city’s love and solidarity towards the Venezuelan people, especially those residing in the municipality with whom they have had a close collaboration for years. The mayor also announced the launch of a campaign to collect medical supplies and first aid kits, in collaboration with the Venezuelan Association in Marbella (Venemar), to assist those affected by the disaster. A collection point has been set up at the Adolfo Suárez Congress Palace to facilitate humanitarian aid.
