Local Government Implements Summer Safety and Emergency Plan with 55 Lifeguards and Enhanced Beach Police Unit
The local government has launched a special safety and emergency plan for the summer season, which will be fully operational until September 30 and will increase surveillance along the municipality’s 27 kilometers of coastline. The plan will feature 55 lifeguards stationed at 19 rescue modules, the reinforcement of the Local Police Beach Unit, volunteers from Civil Protection, firefighters, as well as technological resources such as drones, body cameras, and the municipal video surveillance network.
