City Council Completes Sidewalk Renovation Project to Enhance Accessibility and Pedestrian Mobility in a Section of Burgos Avenue, San Pedro Alcántara

The City Council has finished the sidewalk improvement works on Burgos Avenue in San Pedro Alcántara, between Guadiana Street and La Coruña Avenue, a project that has completely renovated the area and strengthened accessibility and pedestrian mobility. Deputy Mayor of San Pedro, Javier García, emphasized that it was ‘an area that was in poor condition and in need of intervention.’ The intervention covered an area of approximately 1,700 square meters with a budget of 315,000 euros and a two-month execution period. The works included the demolition of the previous pavement, which had uplifts and sinkholes mainly caused by tree root growth and blockages due to the absence of a stormwater drainage network.
