World Padel Soccer Event to Gather Former Football Stars in Marbella
The ‘World Padel Soccer’ event will bring together around 30 renowned former football players from different countries, such as Frank de Boer, Alfonso Pérez, and Fernando Sanz, among others. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has highlighted the growth of the event, which will take place from June 1 to 3 at the Los Granados Padel Club, with an economic impact exceeding two million euros. She emphasized the significance of the event for the combination of sports and tourism. The mayor congratulated the tournament organizer, José Bernal, for his commitment to the city, as well as former Real Madrid player Fernando Sanz and Hard Rock Hotel Marbella’s director, Elena Arias, for their support from the beginning. She also emphasized the charitable aspect of the fifth edition, which will support the La Sonrisa de Daniela association to help a girl affected by an extremely rare disease. ‘Raising awareness of her family’s struggle for specific treatments is essential, and they will have our full support,’ she stated.
