Marbella to Host World Champions of Beach Tennis in Absolute Spanish Championship
Marbella will host the world champions of beach tennis in the Absolute Spanish Championship of this discipline, which will take place from May 13 to 16 at the Parque del Mediterráneo. The Sports Councilor, Lisandro Vieytes, highlighted during the presentation of this event, which is being held for the second consecutive year in the city, that ‘it is a high-level event that will involve more than 200 players’, including the six members of the Spanish national team who won the world championship in the tournament held in Brazil, and the youth team that won the bronze medal in the last U-18 World Championship. The councilor pointed out that the Parque del Mediterráneo, which covers an area of 80,000 square meters, will also host the King’s Cup and the Queen’s Cup of Beach Volleyball and official beach soccer matches.
