Marbella to Build 500 Affordable Housing Units in City Center and El Realejo Area
The City Council has given a new boost to the construction of public housing in the municipality with two projects that will add 495 affordable properties to the residential market. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz announced after the Local Government Board meeting that the green light has been given to a project to build 100 VPP on a municipal plot located on the central Arias de Velasco avenue, while the urgency of urban development in the 75-hectare area of El Realejo, east of the municipal district, where another 395 units are planned, has been approved. The mayor, accompanied by the councilor responsible, José Eduardo Díaz, emphasized that both initiatives are aimed at “promoting transformation, growth, and consolidation projects in different areas of Marbella” and highlighted the technical and administrative work done “to speed up strategic actions related to access to housing, one of the main demands of citizens”.
