Marbella sees a significant drop in unemployment rate by over 10%
Marbella has reduced unemployment by 768 people in the past year, marking a decrease of more than 10% compared to May 2025. Data from the Andalusian Employment Service for the previous month also shows a total of 6,352 unemployed individuals, 331 fewer than in April, with 5,772 contracts signed, an increase of 840 compared to the previous month, representing a 17% rise. The General Director of the department, Alejandro Freijo, emphasized that these figures ‘reflect the strength of the business sector and the city’s ability to create job opportunities.’
