Marbella requests once again the transfer of the Maritime Captaincy building from the Government to be used for public interest facilities
During the ordinary session of the Marbella City Council, a proposal was approved today to urge the Spanish Government to initiate the necessary procedures for the disaffectation and transfer of the Maritime Captaincy building, located on Severo Ochoa Avenue, to the City Council with the aim of allocating this property to new facilities and public interest services. The Government spokesperson, Félix Romero, stated that ‘this is a demand that has been raised for years to recover a strategic space in the urban center that currently has very limited use and evident exterior deterioration.’
