Marbella Leads Tourism Excellence in Spain with 38 Quality and Sustainability Certifications on its Beaches

Marbella solidifies its position as a national benchmark in tourism excellence this summer with a total of 19 ‘Q’ Quality flags and 19 ‘S’ Sustainability flags on its beaches. The city hosted the first certification ceremony in Andalusia awarded by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality and Sustainability (ICTES) with the presence of the Tourism councilor, Arturo Bernal; the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, and the president of the entity, Miguel Mirones. The mayor expressed her satisfaction in hosting this event and highlighted the pride in Andalusia inaugurating this new era with the town being chosen for it. She also pointed out that this year the municipality was awarded the ‘Q Award’ for being the Spanish municipality with the highest number of certifications in both categories in its public resources and services.
