Marbella ends February with over 40,000 visitors and a record average occupancy of 61.60%

Marbella closed February with a historic average occupancy rate of 61.10% according to the report from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), marking the highest figure for this month on record. The director general of the sector, Laura de Arce, noted that ‘we must consider that the previous year this period had an occupancy rate of 52.02% and in 2020, the best up to that point, it rose to 56.20%.’ She specified that 40,220 visitors stayed in hotel establishments and totaled 103,218 overnight stays. Out of the total tourists, 17,004 were from the national territory with 25,163 stays, while 23,216 were from foreign countries with a total of 78,055 overnight stays.
