Marbella City Council Renews Agreement with DYA to Allocate 180,000 Euros for Food Aid to Vulnerable People in 2026
The Marbella City Council has renewed its collaboration agreement with DYA Malaga, allocating 180,000 euros to continue providing essential food aid and hygiene items to vulnerable individuals in 2026. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz praised the valuable work carried out by this organization, which, through a program supported by the Council, distributed 1,100 ‘debit cards’ last year, benefiting around 400 families (over 700 individuals, including 210 children), enabling them to purchase necessary products at local supermarkets. ‘The Food Aid program is one of the most meaningful initiatives we undertake, born in 2020 during the Covid era, aiming to provide a swift response to social emergencies,’ emphasized the mayor, who signed the agreement alongside DYA President Joaquín Mejías, in the presence of the organization’s manager, Paqui Muñoz.
