Marbella City Council Implements Energy and Financial Contingency Plan for Essential Public Services
The Marbella City Council has implemented an energy and financial contingency plan to ensure essential public services amid the current international context, stemming from the conflict in the Middle East. The municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, presented the draft to the Local Government Board, emphasizing the goal to contain budgetary impact and equip the Council with quick response tools for potential crises, as done during Covid-19. Three scenarios with different measures have been designed based on evolving situations, starting with the ‘moderate tension’ scenario involving increased energy costs without service disruption.
