Marbella Awards City Medals to Sports Stars Elena Benítez, Luis Ángel Maté, and Ayoub Ghadfa
The City Council has awarded the City Medals of Marbella 2025 to athletes Elena Benítez, Luis Ángel Maté, and Ayoub Ghadfa, in a ceremony held at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos Adolfo Suárez. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz praised the professional successes of the honorees and highlighted their role as ambassadors for the municipality. She stated, ‘Whether on the mat, in the ring, or on the bike, you have shone the name of our town as brightly as your countless trophies and Olympic medals.’
