Local Police Seize 40,000 Counterfeit Products in Campaign Against Illegal Street Vendors in Marbella
The Marbella Local Police have issued 510 fines for violations related to illegal street vending and have confiscated 40,000 items for destruction during the campaign carried out between September 2025 and August 2026. The operation focused on cracking down on the sale of counterfeit goods and unauthorized food sales, particularly targeting waterfront promenades, beaches, and other high-traffic areas during the peak season. Municipal Councilor for Citizen Security, José Eduardo Díaz, emphasized the intensive effort, covering the municipality’s 27 kilometers of coastline, with interventions aimed at both the sale of fruits, pastries, and sweets on the streets and the unauthorized sale of goods.
