Local Police Budget Increased by 15% for 2026

The City Council has increased the budget for the Local Police by 15% for 2026, reaching 31 million euros for the upcoming year. This amount represents nearly 9% of the municipal accounts and establishes the city as one of the highest investors in security per capita nationwide, as highlighted by Mayor Ángeles Muñoz during the unveiling of 22 new motorcycles for the force in San Pedro Alcántara.
