La Columna Brotherhood Wins First Prize in II May Crosses Contest in Marbella
The La Columna Brotherhood has won the first prize, worth 1,000 euros, in the second edition of the May Crosses Contest in Marbella, organized by the Citizen Participation delegation. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, highlighted the commitment of associations, brotherhoods, active participation centers, and neighborhood groups to turn this initiative into a tradition. The event took place at the Cortijo Miraflores Cultural Center and was attended by the mayor and council member Enrique Rodríguez. The mayor emphasized that the contest is laying the foundation to become a prominent event in the municipality’s festive calendar. She noted that behind each cross there is not only flowers but also originality, decoration, time, effort, many hours of work, and, above all, a lot of enthusiasm. She expressed gratitude to the jury for evaluating the submitted proposals.
